I’m new here so I wanna say hallo to all users.
On the beggining I want to say that this is great site, and thanks to yours pictures I saw real icelandic nature. Thanks to you I decided to see it by my self.
Im the fresh owner of Toyata 4runner, 3.0l bensin, 1995. I have some problems with this car, I’m
total beginer with 4×4 cars so I decided ask for yours help. Maybe you know some good
mechanic or garage where I can fix my car and of course is not very expensive. Maybe you was reparing your car somewhere and you can recommend me that place.I cant turn on the car on hot engine, I have to wait one hour before he starts again. On cold everything works great. Cars are not my best side thats why Im looking for good and cheap workshop specialize in 4×4.
I want to apologize that this is not in icelandic. Im learnig and I think I will be learning for a long time 😉

it sounds like a fuel starvation problem, check the fuel pump it’s in the tank…
And i think there is a filter on the pump that you can clean…
I dont know if this is a fuel problem becouse when I turn him off and then I try start him again, he dont react. his not even try to start I turn key in the lock and nothing happens you hear only click.
But I dont know so I go tomorrow to this garage in Kopavogi if this is good place.

Can you tell me something more about this workshop, why you think its good. Did you fix your truck over there?
The starter motor can be your problem.
When hot it’s not working.
It can be stuck carbon connecor in the motor.
That means removing the starter, cleaning and renew carbon connectors (kol á Íslensku).
The click you hear is in the starter relay, and it can also have bad contacts.
I would check the ignition coil(háspennukefli) if its not a starter problem.
